About Me

I am a 56 yro, fit, sailing enthusiast looking for adventure. I’m a non-smoker and drink alcohol rarely. Next year, 2022, I will be retired from my medical career (RN) and wanting to crew in the Pacific Cup (a race I’ve always wanted to do, but did not have the time). I have experience standing watch, trimming, sailing by compass, using navigation equipment (GPS, AIS, Chart Plotter, Radar, etc), dead reckoning, as well as some general boat maintenance. I’m responsible, respectful, tidy, hardworking, calm and a good listener. From crewing with many different skippers I understand flexibility is important (there are many ways to get to the same end result).

I have over 20 years sailing experience and currently living on my own boat, Catalina 445, in Alameda. I have sailed in California crewing in local beer can races on San Francisco Bay  and San Diego Bay. (boats include, Tackful, Nancy, MimiCat, Kabunza, Honey Bear, Distraction, Dauntless, and others). I have skippered my own boat down to SD and back to SF and have completed many coastal races and rallies; Newport Beach to Ensenada (3X) and Baja HaHa (2007 & 2009).
