About Me
I'm a naval officer stationed in San Diego looking to crew my way to Hawaii. I'm an unlimited tonnage watch officer with over 1,400 hours driving and navigating warships in open ocean and coastal waters and four years managing shipboard engineering plants in every body of water between the US east coast and the Persian Gulf, plus the eastern Pacific. I also race out of San Diego on a Tripp 40, usually trimming main or working the foredeck. I've done multiple overnight races and a over year of bay racing.
I'm comfortable with long ocean voyages, confined spaces, bad food, and little sleep. I'm also very proficient with electronic and celestial navigation, RADAR, VHF, splicing lines, and general maritime troubleshooting. Finally, I own a San Juan 28 and handle the maintenance myself, so I'm able to help with general repairs during the race.
I believe I can be an asset to your team, I'd love to speak if you have any questions!
